Stylo Plc is a leading shoe retailer which has developed rapidly since its
inception in 1935.
Today they own over 180 Barratt’s stores, 200 Dorothy Perkins branded concessions, over 200 Dorothy Perkins branded stores and over 200 discount footwear outlets under the PriceLess brand name.
The group has a turnover of around £238m with net assets of £37m.
In order to improve the quality of the retail experience for their customers Stylo Plc undertook a comprehensive upgrade to their PDQ (Process Data Quickly) network across 128 of their retail stores within the UK.
To support this they needed a telecoms provider who could work closely with them to ensure the upgrade was completed effectively and on schedule.
Uniworld project managed the entire upgrade process to the retailers’ PDQ (Process Data Quickly) network across the 128 UK-wide stores allowing the organisation to roll-out its network quickly and efficiently. This helped to ensure that the retail activity in the shops remained seamless and continued without disruption.
This project management role involved working in close partnership with the retailer to manage the upgrade process for the network and included coordination with the relevant third parties such as contractors and equipment suppliers etc.
To achieve this effectively the Uniworld Account Manager worked closely with the retailer and each individual site to understand the network and telecoms infrastructure and project manage each installation accordingly.
Uniworld now also provides more than 950 lines as well as carrying call traffic for many of the sites within the Stylo plc chain including for Stylo itself, Barratt’s, Dolcis and a number of the PriceLess stores. Many of these lines are used for EPOS traffic as well as standard telephony.
The work was completed to deadline within just 30 days from the customers’ initial order confirmation.
Ms Julie Evans of Stylo plc said "When we upgraded our PDQ network, which is obviously of vital importance to us, we wanted to work with a company who could offer the ability to service our needs across the UK but without compromising on the quality of care we received. Uniworld managed the upgrade process for our PDQ network very effectively and have also given us a consistently good level of support".
Stylo Plc have now remained with Uniworld for many years because of the consistently high level of service they receive from their Account Management team.
